See, I love moving. But that's probably because I grew up moving all the time. Since '98, I've moved 12 times. I'm now a homeowner for the first time, since hitching my wagon to a star in the form of hubster. It just feels like an immense purge every time I pack things up, discard others. Go ahead, purge! Consider moving an enema for your physical matter. Feel better?
I was once teaching ESL in Las Vegas; this was after leaving one grad program and before flaking out on another. The class was held in the North Paw of the Sphinx right outside the Luxor. Seriously. Anyway, one of my students was writing an essay about his experiences in the US, and he was very disappointed that he was too old to attend high school. Even so, he remained optimistic and said, "Still, I have happy."
