This wasn't even the worst of the bunch, which was a batch of 9th grade world religion tests. I also teach Philosophy of Religion and East Asian cultures and religions to seniors. Their final papers should have some real gems.
I was once teaching ESL in Las Vegas; this was after leaving one grad program and before flaking out on another. The class was held in the North Paw of the Sphinx right outside the Luxor. Seriously. Anyway, one of my students was writing an essay about his experiences in the US, and he was very disappointed that he was too old to attend high school. Even so, he remained optimistic and said, "Still, I have happy."
